Film Title Survey

As a group we decided that the most interactive way to interest people in our media film would be to get them to choose our name for us.

We sent out a survey which asked twenty-five people which name they would choose for our film after we had told them our plot.

The results showed that "Cold Game" is the clear favourite.

As a group we chose to use this name because we feel it clearly represents the thriller genre but it also has a link to our own ideas and our own story line is emphasised because of the name.

'Se7en'

Inspiration from 'se7en'

We like the opening creidits from 'Se7en' because of all the fast hard cuts and the amount of images that are crammed into a few seconds makes everything look rushed and hectic as if portraying the mind of the murderer. The opening scene also creates a sense of mystery through the different camera angles because you never see the murderers face only his hands as he puts together a hit list. This technique helps the viewer stay interested and they want to keep on watching the film as it is intriguing and full of suspense because you don't know who is going to commit the murders or why they are killing people. The music also helps to create a tense atmosphere because it has religious connotations and it is very slow which could be perceived as being creepy which would intrigue the viewer to want to watch more of the film so that they understand what the opening credits are about.

First Idea

Our First Idea

Plot:
Deserted graveyard at sunset, no one is around, a creepy man approaches a new grave, he's wearing a long black trench coat and a black hat, his face is always hidden. Glancing around cautiously he places flowers at the grave, he doesn't see the woman watching him from behind the tree. it then goes to a flashback to him following someone. As he leaves they pass each other, their eyes meet. The man the walks away from the graveyard
